On Wednesday, the latest of the U.S. Supreme Court’s outrageous decisions was announced. In Murthy vs. Minnesota, a six-to-three majority (including two Justices nominated by Donald Trump) struck down a lower court’s ruling. The dissenters were Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Clarence Thomas. The ruling declared that recent Biden White House actions “suggesting” social media providers remove posts deemed to be “misinformation” were unconstitutional. Among the plaintiffs were the states of Missouri and Louisiana as well as the courageous, independent physician/economist Jay Bhattacharya, a longtime opponent of covid alarmism and mandates. (As both a physician and an economist, Bhattacharya is among the most qualified in the world to comment on the deleterious effects the government’s covid policy.)

The decision upheld White House actions that violate the First Amendment, and the commentary on the decision includes the best and worst of today’s political discourse.
